Knock, Knock

It's a horror story about a boy and his sister who were left home alone when their parents left that night. It's based on an urban legend.

When their mother left, she told her children not to open the door under any circumstances.

"If someone knocks, don't open it," she told them.

But her son and sister ignored their mother's warning. They think she's overly cautious. They think they can take care of themselves in any situation.

About an hour after their parents left, the children heard "knock, knock, knock" at the front door.

They decided to ignore it, but again they heard "knock, knock, knock." It happened repeatedly and each time it got harder.

Finally, the girl couldn't stand it anymore and told her sister she would open the door. When the boy reminded her of their mother's warning, the girl didn't listen.

Once again, they heard "knock, knock, knock" at the door. Finally, the sister came downstairs. Her sister was lying on the couch watching TV. She heard her brother's footsteps coming down the stairs. She heard him ask loudly, "Who's there?" She heard the front door being opened.

Then he heard only silence. He lay there for a while, listening for any sound, but he heard nothing. Finally, he began to fear. His sister still hadn't returned. He was afraid to call her, so he slipped out the back door and headed to the neighbor's house.

When he got home, his neighbor was watching a local news channel. The anchors were talking about murders. Then they showed a reporter directly at the crime scene.

The neighbor said to the boy, "Hey, it's like your house."

The boy trembled with fear. "That's my house," he said. "And that's my front door."
